Praise for Robin Hood Athletic from Temple AFC Juniors

2 years ago By Paul Stephenson

We have received some pleasing feedback from Andy Manchester of Temple AFC Juniors

"Just a quick message to let you know of the conduct of Robin Hood Red during our match this morning.

Our U15 team is currently struggling for players, due to injuries and the natural 'drop-out' at this age, and we could only field 8 players, which became 7 half-way through the second half. I expected a thumping in terms of scoreline, but I was more worried about the possible embarrassment and ridicule of my players which has happened before in matches against much weaker teams with a much smaller final score.

However, I am pleased to say that everybody involved conducted themselves professionally, there was no mockery or ridicule towards any players, RHR coaches and parents praised and encouraged my team for their effort and contribution throughout the match and RHR players, coaches and parents even personally applauded our 8 players after the game.

A big 'thank you' to players, coaches and parents, from all at Temple AFC Junior, it's a pleasure to have such teams in the GJFL.

Many thanks,

Andy Manchester
Temple AFC Junior
Secretary & U15 Manager"
