Affiliation & Criminal Records Checks (CRC) - 2016-17 Season
As most Leagues, Clubs, Secretaries and Club Welfare Officers will be aware, following the implementation of the Protection of Freedom Act 2012, there have been widespread and significant changes to the Disclosure & Baring Service (DBS) and the impact this has on organisations & volunteers.
The FA / County FA have managed these changes gradually but as from the coming 2016-17 season, ALL volunteers who are in Regulated Activity (coaching, supervising, educating children more than 4 times per month) will need an Accepted Enhanced FA CRC prior to commencing their role. In basic terms, this means that all Managers, Coaches, Referees officiating in junior football and CWO’s will need an in-date FA CRC check in place otherwise you will not be allowed to continue in your role until a CRC check has been undertaken and you are in receipt of an ‘Accepted’ Disclosure Certificate.
